Additionally, we have committed to donating a large quantity of our bags for 2009 Earth Day events. We have partnered with a Chicago suburban school to donate bags for school fund raising events and to underprivileged families at this school.

When we produced our initial prototypes, we spent considerable time researching the pros/cons of producing bags made from recycled materials. We found that it's actually worse for the environment to re-tool old material, recycle it and make it into bags, than to start with raw materials.
Our factory had advised us that it takes more energy to produce recycled products than it does the raw materials. Doing this would also double our cost and we'd have to double our retail price. We are trying to provide consumers with simple and realistic ways to commit to the environment and make these small lifestyle changes. Our goal is to keep our bags durable, functional and fashion forward at an affordable price.

Goody Green Bags are made from non-woven polypropylene coated, water resistant material that is light weight, durable, fire resistant and washable. Our bags are extremely durable and should last a long period of time, but if/when you are ready to discard, they are 100% recyclable.

Our bags are designed and distributed in the U.S., but manufactured overseas in China. We can assure that our factory practices strict quality control processes and meets all fair trade guidelines. One of our team members visits our factory once a month to oversee production and ensure that only the highest standards are met.

As a matter of fact, our factory is one of the leading factories to produce a majority of the reusable bags in China where there is a plastic bag ban.

We feel that our strongest points of difference are the style and construction of Goody Green Bags. Our bags are durable, fashionable and functional. Our fun and fresh patterns make it appealing and desirable for shoppers to balance the pressure to be eco-friendly with the desire to stay stylish--encouraging individuals to bring their own bag and continue to reuse it.

All our bags fold down into an envelope size to make it easy for consumers to store bags in their car or purse so they always have them on hand when shopping. They are also great for travel since they don't take up any room in your suitcase, but fold out to a full size beach bag, gym bag, souvenir tote or extra carry-on.

Our bags are roomy to make it easy to do a large shopping trip. The long handles keep it comfortable to tote bags to the parking lot or even through a mall when retail shopping.

Additionally, our price point is competitive and affordable. We wanted to produce a bag that consumers would find reasonable so each person would be encouraged to make a simple eco-friendly change.

We currently only offer one size bag with the following dimensions:
-Folded: 7.5” long x 4.5” high
-Flat: 15” long x 18.5” high, 2.75” sides & bottom, 24” handles

We are currently working on a larger bag construction and hope to launch the new style Spring 2009. The dimensions will be as follows:
-18" long x 16" high, 6" sides and bottom gusset, 22" handles

If we cannot get your order out within one week due to lack of inventory, we will notify you to let you know the estimated date of arrival. If you do not wish to wait until the bag is in stock, we will give you a choice of another pattern or refund your money.

Goody Green Bag strives to deliver only products of high quality. All products are guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty applies when the product is used for its intended purpose and does not apply to damages caused by typical wear and tear, unreasonable use or neglect.

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we will replace your product or refund your money within 30 days of purchase. Items must be returned in the conditioned they were received for a complete refund. Please call our customer service number, 847-573-1039 for specific shipping instructions.

If an item is damaged in shipment or arrives damaged, please contact us for return authorization and instruction. We will cover all return postage fees.

If you are simply unhappy with the product, we are unable to cover shipping fees, but we will gladly refund your money once we receive the returned product.

Shipping costs are based on the total order amount:

$0-$40.00 order = $6.95 shipping
$40.01-$46.00 order = $8.95 shipping
$46.01-$63.00 order = $10.95 shipping
$63.01+ = $16.95 shipping

We try and fill all orders within 48 hours of receipt and ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS. Your order will typically arrive within five (5) business days. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order ships.
